For lovers of sun and relaxation, the south of France is not bad if you want to bask in the sun close to the Mediterranean. I have to admit, for most French people, Provence and the Côte d’Azur are dream destinations, especially for camping!

When you’re there, don’t miss out on water sports such as jet-skiing, surfing and diving. There are plenty of places to discover, including beautiful beaches, natural coves, lush forests and the famous lavender fields to let yourself be subtly seduced…

Greater Aquitaine – Charente Maritime

Located in the west of France, the Greater Aquitaine region encompasses a number of departments, including Charente Maritime. Known as the home of La Rochelle, I have no hesitation in recommending this destination for your next holiday.

Clearly, you’ll have plenty of places to choose from for swimming: Les Landes, the Basque Country and Charente Maritime. But that’s not all, there are also some beautiful towns within easy reach of the campsites, including Bordeaux, Biarritz, La Rochelle, Royan, La Teste and the Bassin d’Arcachon!

Languedoc Roussillon

If you prefer the atmosphere of the Canal de Midi, I can only recommend the Languedoc Roussillon region and its superb towns… Montpellier, Narbonne, Perpignan, Carcassonne, Sète and Alès are just some of the places to discover during your camping holiday.

This destination is perfect if you’re a nature lover. The region boasts a number of nature parks and is rich in biodiversity. What’s more, you can also get up close and personal with the wildlife by visiting some of the region’s best-preserved species… Camping in France is one of the best ways to discover our beautiful regions!

South Corsica

Yes! the Ile de Beauté is one of the French destinations to choose for a holiday in the sun. If you’re looking for relaxation and heavenly scenery, head for the south of Corsica to Porto-Vecchio, Bonifacio or Propriano. If you’re visiting southern Corsica for a few days or for a holiday, you’re sure to be won over!

Even if you opt for the north of the island, you’ll find excellent campsites and, above all, breathtaking scenery. Corsica is famous for its picturesque villages, hiking trails, mountainous terrain, natural pools and of course… the local gastronomy!

Ile de Ré – Ile d’Oléron

Situated in the Charente Maritime region, the Ile de Ré and the Ile d’Oléron are the perfect locations for a camping holiday. Clearly, these two places meet all the criteria for a perfect holiday, punctuated by tranquillity despite the high tourist numbers in summer.

But that’s not all: the region also boasts legendary towns such as Saint-Jean-de-Luz, Bayonne, Bidart and Sare, France’s most beautiful village.
